Another great ride - 12 of us left Topeka at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Stopped off at Meriden to pick up Don
and Marcus. It was a little cool and windy but that's Kansas this time of the year. Riding east and north we ended up in Horton
and then made a stop in White Cloud where the picture was taken and we were all inspired by the view of 4 states from the
lookout platform - I now know that Nebraska's big red N on the University stands for Nowledge and is on the football
helmets so that the players know it goes on the Noggin. A stop in Atchison for some quick purchases and gas and then straight
to Weston, after winding around town for a while we finally made it to O'Malley's Pub for lunch. Great food - service was
a little slow - we were then entertained by Ty's rendition of a romantic weekend in Arkansas (this could be a page all by
itself) - the pub is down three levels in an old cave that used to be for cold storage.
The ride ended back in Topeka at McBee's.
Many thanks to all that rode - the rest of you - be there next year.
